I’ve spent 3 days at Spa Francorchamps enjoying some fabulous historic racing. A very wide range of classic cars were racing, everything from a Mini Cooper to a more recent McLaren F1 GTR longtail. This is my favourite event of the year, historic racing is so much more fun to watch then modern racing. The way these classic cars slide through the corners is a real joy to see. The weather was perfect with sun all weekend long, that must have helped to bring some more spectators to this event. While last year most of the grandstands were near empty this year a decent crowd turned up. And for good reason A small selection of the photos I made can be seen in 3 galleries:

Short trip to the Nürburgring, only spent the saturday afternoon @ the Nordshleife. 547 photos in this gallery. Only made it to the Karussell and Swalbenswanz.

Finally had some time to have a look at my photos from 21st till the 23rd of may. I played around in Bibblepro so some photos may look a bit different. I made a small selection from the 1000′s of photos I took during those hectic 3 days of tourist driving. I made some photos thursday afternoon, friday and the saturday. The friday before Easter, “karfreitag” is probably the busiest day of the year at the Nurburgring. People were queuing for miles to get on the track. The weather might have something to do with it, it couldn’t have been any better, summer has started
